Finely carved antique quartersawn oak dining table, great carved center leg

  

For sale i have a very nicely carved unusual 6 foot dining table. The table could be made to open much wider by putting a different set of slides on the bottom. At any rate, this is a very well done quartersawn oak table.

As you see it has a very finely carved center leg that matches the four support legs, 2 each on either end that are connected by a very nice carved stretcher. The table is 48 inches by 48 inches when closed and without leaves. I have over 20 dining tables and actually only need one, therefore i suppose as my daughter says dispose of some stuff before i kick the bucket. This is a very well constructed table that is level, rolls well, and is in wonderful condition. When i bought it there were no leaves with it, so i made some leaves out of leaves i had and it will open to six feet with them in place. Of the many 48 inch tables i have and have had, i do not recall a nicer or better put together table of its size. The legs are great to say the least. I just took a look at the pictures i posted. I did not realize the table was so dirty and dusty.

The leaves have been under a sideboard for years. Anyway, sorry about that, it will dust off and clean up very well. One of the perks of getting older is that you don't see all the dirt and dust.
