Custom Vintage Kelly Perfect Michigan Pattern Axe on Quarter Sawn White Oak. This listing is for a custom vintage Kelly Perfect Michigan pattern axe on quarter sawn White Oak. This vintage Kelly Works'Perfect' Michigan pattern axe with phantom bevels, was cleaned and blued. The bit was hand filed and leather stropped. The head has moderate pitting from age, but is perfectly serviceable with a legible stamp of'True Temper Kelly Perfect'.

The poll is very clean and no mushrooming needed to be addressed. The helve was hand carved from beautiful, dark, quarter sawn White Oak. The swell was seamlessly laminated from the same lumber using quality BSI epoxy. The head was hand fit to the helve with zero gap and solid contact. A Yellow Poplar wedge was driven into the kerf and cut proud.

SBC 23 SF CA' was stamped into the bottom of the swell. Total length from top of eye to bottom of swell is 28 1/4. Total weight is 4 lbs 5.7 oz.
