Anyway, it is solid quartersawn oak table with a pierced carved skirt under the top which is very deep, like 5 inches and a pierced carved skirt under the stretcher which is 2 inches deep. It has 4 brass decorative corner pieces at each corner of where the skirt joins. They are a nice feature, not really needed for support or strength, just add beauty to the piece. The legs have two grooves on either side of each side of the legs and the legs have a doric capital at the top. The legs have a turned portion that connects to the stretcher and then they curve outward and have a bit of a carved toe on the front side of each foot.
The stretcher is a large square one that would allow storage or placement for whatever you might choose to put there. It is 24 inches by 24 inches at the top and 30.5 inches tall. It is as solid as a rock, sits level and perfect, has no wiggles or wobbles. It is a very sturdy table. It has two support braces and corner blocks under the stretcher. It has however been refinished at some point before i got it and i have owned it a long time.I have had it is storage for years and i did clean and polish it before listing it.
