Antique Quarter Sawn Oak Highboy

  

One of those pieces you never want to part with, both for its uniqueness, rarity, and history. This piece is dated pre-1900 and has incredible craftsmanship in every detail. It is unique in that the carving you see on the large top drawer is not applique as seen on most antique pieces. The craftsmen added a bowed front piece of wood to the top drawer and hand carved the design into the wood, which descends down to the bottom drawer.

All the drawers, four large, and two small are dovetailed. It has the original heavily carved mirror and lions feet on the front. Though minimal, it has a few flaws but for its age is in good antique condition. Please look carefully at the photos.
