Antique Edwardian Quarter Sawn Oak Box Set 250 Mother of Pearl Nacre Poker Chips

  

1905 gentleman's boxed set of handmade mother of pearl polker chips measures 5 5/8" tall x 8" x 11" overall and opens to reveal a fabric lined lid and compartment with removable hardwood tray containing over 250 1 1/2" diameter chips and an area to hold several decks of playing cards. As the images show, the box retains original finish with some darkened and worn areas and overall, the exterior has gleaming richly figured quarter sawn golden oak. I see no damage to the box aside from some loss to the original embossed paper that covers the bottom.
